The sun came out, the winds increased as did the humidity.
Luckily, we had a nice event starting at 3pm at Fresenius Kidney Care, Veterans Memorial in Abbeville, Louisiana.
I was able to get off the bike a bit early.
We met many of the staff and a patient named Arthur who’s been on dialysis and “is doing everything right, doing everything he’s told” to be ready for when he gets the call for “his” kidney and to be in the best physical condition he can be in to help his new kidney last as long as possible.

We helped get his story out on the local TV station.

After the media part was over the staff invited us in for cold drinks and shrimp, crawfish, and catfish po’boys. Great southern cooking and hospitality.
I noticed I haven’t been chased down the backroads by any dogs the past few days.

Came over a bridge and this guy was fired up. Super load.
We also had a short ferry crossing. Lynn noticed he had Badgers hat on. He had an interesting kidney story.
Michael Ortiz had some great pics from the past 2 days.
