A Practice Day today in many ways. The newest Team member Jennie Hinz, sent out press releases yesterday and we snagged a TV Interview with WAPT-TV (Jackson) getting our message out about the urgent and dire need for kidney donors in Jackson, MS today. If that rings a bell….it’s where Hugh Smith, my voucher recipient had his transplant surgery at University of Mississippi Medical Center using the voucher program through the National Kidney Registry
Then Lynn dropped me off at Alcorn State University and I rode the new Specialized Rockhopper for the first time. We bought it in Albuquerque last spring as insurance when the Salsa bottom-bracket started giving me trouble. Rode 40 miles into Natchez, MS. 30 miles was gravel. It performed great!
The last hour or so I rode in the dark. Had lights along.
Was able to upload videos to YouTube. That will give us the opportunity to update much quicker when the big ride starts.
Came across some guys fishing, and catching, some catfish.
Our usual White Russia at Under The Hill Saloon and we called it a night.
82 degrees today, sandal weather for sure.
