I have gotten involved in Toastmasters, an international nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Headquartered in Englewood, Colorado.
The organization’s membership exceeds 300,000 in more than 15,800 clubs in 149 countries. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders.
I found it very helpful in helping to get a concise message together of varying lengths and purposes. It’s also a great way to inform people about the dire and urgent need for kidney donation all across the country and to share what Lynn and I have learned about kidney and organ transplants.
I was recently invited to speak to a couple of Toastmasters Clubs in Toronto, Canada that were recorded. If you’re interested in hearing a 15-20 minute talk about The Organ Trail, how it started, our goals, highlights from the last 3 major rides, info on future rides, a Q&A session, and more, take a listen here.
I will be speaking to many more Toastmasters Clubs in the US and will record a number of them based on the varying themes of the talks. They will all be on TOT YouTube Channel.
As requested previously, if you Subscribe to the youtube channel it will help us to get noticed to get more hits and will help us and the people looking for a kidney get more exposure. It might just help save someone’s life.
