9-27-2021 Update

9-27-2021 update. Had a major bike issue but we still managed 3 interviews to share the story of THE ORGAN TRAIL.

After 2 early morning interviews for local newspapers we found a bike shop. They had the parts we needed. A seat post and a seat, but the old post wouldn’t come out. Rusted to the frame.

We had a 24” pipe wrench on it with a cheater pipe, then in a bench vise before it twisted off.

Then it was off to visit a local family machine shop, Bick and Heintz, that fabricated a piece that connected the frame to the new seat post.

With 10 minutes to spare we made the 5pm interview in Syracuse.

No riding today, but with the morning rain and the all day repair it turned into a very productive “day off”.
